Orphaned at a very young age, Raju lives a poor life with his sister. He falls in love with Parul but her uncle has already arranged her marriage with a despicable police inspector, Suryadev Singh. When Suryadev finds out that Parul loves Raju, he arrests him under false charges of murder, which propels Parul to commit suicide. Suryadev also molests Raju’s sister, rendering her pregnant and mentally unstable. Enraged beyond measure, Raju then relocates and hides his sister in a remote village. Here he ends up meeting a plain-clothed policewoman disguised as a village belle, Bijli on a mission to apprehend Raju at any cost.
