Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya is a 1966 romantic drama starring Nutan, Dharmendra, Rehman and Jeevan. The film revolves around friendship between Ashok and Amjad and their love interests. Amjad is set to marry Shabnam but the girl Ashok wants to marry - Ashoo, tragically dies in an accident. Ashok is unaware of this. Amjad asks Shabnam who is Ashoo's look-alike to pretend to be Ashoo until Ashok recovers. She reluctantly agrees. But Ashok is confused to see Ashoo's changed behaviour.
