Abhay and Vasundhara are neighbors who are in love. They choose to elope to Goa in spite of their parents' adamant resistance. As all of this is going on, Chief Minister Arjun Patil has his Deputy Chief Minister Praveen Deshpande killed; Bihari, his assistant, has audio recorded the plotting of the murder. After deciding to blackmail the CM, Bihari drops the tape in Abhay and Vasundhara's car, only to be killed by the CM's men later. As a result, Inspector Nagesh Rao, who wants to obtain the recording in order to demand money from the CM, and the CM's thugs start chasing the pair.
