After Prasanta's mother passes away, he fulfills her promise by going to the hills to meet Kalavati and learns about the tragic love story between Maina and the snake charmer Chandan, marked by snake bites and a desire for revenge. Prasanta eventually uses a mantra to revive Maina and Chandan but sacrifices his own life in the process, bringing about their reunion.
