Kailash Nath (Alok Nath) is the manager of a bank who lives a comfortable life with his wife and son. He is fond of the bank watchman, Shankar (Kiran Kumar), so much so that he arranges the engagement of his son with Shankar's daughter, Sanam (Manisha Koirala). All is well until the bank gets robbed and Kailash is arrested for the crime and sentenced to 12 years of jail. Innocent Kailash returns to find out that he was framed by none other than Shankar, who is now the town mayor. Why did Shankar betray his trust? What happens to their kids?
